About the Event
Join us for the 27th Annual Peter R. Bossow Jr. Golf Tournament, a day filled with world-class golf, meaningful connections and a shared mission to support families facing cancer.
Beyond the fairways, this tournament is about something greater—helping families find respite in the midst of cancer. Pete Bossow Jr.’s journey in 1998 inspired a movement that continues today, and FPS is making history by building the nation’s first-of-its-kind cancer respite center in partnership with Woodloch Resort: Pete's Dream. Don’t miss this incredible day of golf and giving as we celebrate 27 years of impact and how your support will help us change cancer care.

Gerardi Founder's Award

We are honored to present the 2026 Gerardi Founder’s Award to the dedicated leaders whose vision, expertise, and commitment have helped bring Pete’s Dream—the nation’s first-of-its-kind cancer respite center—from concept to reality.
Since 2022, members of the Pete’s Dream Building Committee have met week after week to guide the planning, design, development, and construction of this transformational project. Among those leaders, Chris Condon, Keith Ledwith, and Craig Hamilton have provided extraordinary dedication and hands-on leadership, helping to shape a place that will provide hope, healing, and respite for families facing cancer for generations to come.
We also proudly recognize Larry McAlee, whose strategic guidance and advocacy have been instrumental in securing the financing needed to move Pete’s Dream forward. His contributions have helped transform an ambitious vision into a tangible reality.
Together, these honorees embody the spirit of the Gerardi Founder’s Award through their extraordinary service, generosity, and belief in the mission of For Pete’s Sake. Their work will leave a lasting legacy, ensuring that countless families facing cancer have a place to reconnect, recharge, and create meaningful memories for years to come.

Pete's Dream

In 1998, Pete faced cancer. By 1999, he was gone. In that short span, he felt the weight of exhaustion, fear, and sadness familiar to many battling cancer. Yet amidst this turmoil, a Respite Experience provided by loved ones allowed Pete and his wife Marci to momentarily escape the clutches of illness.
After their revitalizing respite, Pete was determined to offer others the chance to rejuvenate their minds, bodies, and spirits just as he had. Marci made a solemn vow to Pete, pledging to devote her entire life to fulfilling his dream. Now, a quarter-century later, Pete's legacy endures, impacting countless adult cancer patients and their caregivers with the gift of joy through transformative respite.

Pete’s Dream will support adult cancer patients and their families as they navigate the challenges of a diagnosis together.
Developed by For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, Pete’s Dream will be a welcoming, accessible destination where families can step away from the clinical environment and focus on healing, connection, and strength. Set on 32 peaceful acres adjacent to Woodloch Resort, the center is scheduled to open in 2027.
